The Caster Collection

January 19, 2021

The Caster Collection is a bundle of 4 different homebrew subclasses for Dungeons & Dragons 5e. The intent of this bundle was to bring casting options to certain classes that don’t have the ability to cast spells normally and to bring more chaotic casting options to the Warlock.

This bundle is available to purchase at: https://www.dmsguild.com/product/346681/The-Caster-Collection-5e

The Caster Collection contains 4 subclass archetypes with a focus on spellcasting. Two new Warlock patrons and archetypes are provided along with spellcasting archetypes for the Monk and Barbarian classes. These archetypes are comprised of The Gambler Warlock, The Fearmonger Warlock, the Way of the Dancer Monk, and the Path of the Scholar Barbarian.

Path of the Scholar Barbarian: The Barbarian class almost always uses Intelligence as a dump stat, but not this archetype. The Scholar Barbarian is an Intelligence-based half-caster that infuses their rage with magic. Sometimes it takes some brain to build more brawn with an understanding of dietary and workout techniques for building muscle. One should remain quiet as these individuals study unless you’d like to face the pinnacle of nerd rage.

Way of the Dancer Monk: There is more to being a monk than quiet meditation and mastering Ki. The Dancers carry the religious traditions of monks to not only master the inner self but to spread the joy and traditions of their religions. These monks gain the ability to cast Cleric spells but also spread the joys of Bardic Inspiration through their dance fighting.

The Fearmonger Warlock: This patron is the apex of fear, hunting for cowards who would run in fear and tear their souls from their bodies. The Fearmonger gets more powerful as fear is spread through the world but in turn, makes the Warlock more crazed and inaccurate. This archetype is a heavy hitter and focuses on intimidating their foes. Your aggression as The Fearmonger’s Warlock may end up more trouble than it’s worth.

The Gambler Warlock:  Truly, a game of chance always comes down to the roll of the dice and The Gambler is always up for a game with the right stakes. Every class feature for The Gambler is a different gambling game that will provide the Warlock with great boons but sometimes a bad roll will result in burdens. The Gambler is lawful and will abide by the rules of the game, it’s up to you to decide if you want to play.
